These beautiful strands of Blue Apatite faceted Bicone 4mm Round beads are adding to our ever expanding range of gemstone beads. They are loose strung (temporarily strung) and sold by the length and are ready to be incorporated into your individual jewellery design. The drill hole is around 0.7mm. Each strand has approximately 99 beads on a string. Due to their size and the detail of cutting at this size, there maybe some irregularities between beads on the strand. It is usual to require hand selecting of beads from the strand when matching for earrings and other jewellery designs. Apatite is the name given to a group of phosphate minerals, usually hydroxylapatite, fluorapatite, and chlorapatite. Apatite is one of few minerals that are produced and used by biological systems. Hydroxylapatite is the major component of bone material.
