Terms And Conditions

We aim to dispatch orders within 3-4 working days (our working days are Monday-Friday). Currently we are experiencing fluctuations in order volumes at different times across the month, despite our best attempts to manage this, occasionally dispatch maybe delayed. Orders placed over weekends are processed after the weekend.

We are open Monday - Friday only. If you place a large order, please be aware that despite our best efforts delivery maybe slower due to the length of time required to prepare your order and we will contact you if we are unable to reach the dispatch time stated on your postage option. We offer next day delivery via DPD – please see delivery rates. If you require your goods urgently please upgrade to a next day option. 

Please check the banner on the homepage for our current updates. During busy periods we are unfortunately unable to offer next day deliveries and 'add to's' - adding items to existing orders (trade accounts only). You will be required to place a separate order and pay postage, if you have missed an item(s) from an order. 

We usually deliver via Royal Mail, DPD Local and FedEx. We will only ship via tracked and signed for methods to ensure you receive your goods as promptly and safely as possible. If you experience any issues with the delivery of your order, please contact our sales team on or 01484 485100.

Collect in Store
If you live locally to Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, we offer the option for you to collect your order from our warehouse. If you select this option, we will contact you when your goods are ready for collection, please allow at least 24 hours. If ordering over a weekend, your goods will be ready on Tuesday. When collecting your goods, please come to the main entrance. If you wish to visit the showroom at the same time you must have a booking, we require at least 24 hour notice for appointments.  
Next Day Delivery
Next day delivery is available on orders placed Monday to Thursday before 11.30am when selecting a Next Day postage option. Saturday delivery is available now via Royal Mail Special Delivery, please select the Saturday Rate.  

Orders placed on a Friday will be delivered the following Monday.  Saturday deliveries are available on orders weighing less than 2kg to UK Mainland addresses via Royal Mail Special Delivery for which an additional charge of between £10 and £20 will be payable depending on the weight of the parcel.  If you require delivery on a Saturday, please call us once you have placed your order and we will confirm the exact charge and take payment. Saturday delivery is available now via Royal Mail Special Delivery, please select the Saturday Rate.  
Free Postage and Free Delivery Offers

Applicable only to UK, Jersey, and Guernsey addresses, the qualifying amount is before VAT. Please note that we reserve the right to send by our courier of choice, and delivery may be delayed depending on the volume of orders currently being processed. We cannot add to Free Delivery orders.

Adding to an existing order - Trade Account Holders Only We appreciate you may wish to add to an order at times, please note we can only accept add to's on the same day as your original order is placed. Occasionally the website charged postal rate maybe incorrect especially if the item is particularly large or heavy, in these cases we will charge the correct postage at dispatch and contact you for any additional payment.


If you wish to return any items, please notify us within 14 days by email to Goods must be received within 28 days. Ensure products are well packaged. Please send all returns to: Returns Burhouse Ltd Quarmby Mills Tanyard Road Oakes Huddersfield HD3 4YP We advise you send returns via Royal Mail and please obtain a Certificate of Posting (available free from your post office) for all returns, so that we can complete your request in the event of items being lost in transit. The buyer is responsible for any return postage costs for unwanted items. Please note returns will be credited to your original payment method. Please allow up to 14 days after we receive your return to process any refund.
